Ex- British Broadcasting Corporation Advisers Undergo MPs' Inquiry After Claims of Partiality in Disclosed Document
We open with queries from Conservative lawmaker Caroline Dinenage, who oversees the panel.
She opens by providing details to the unauthorized document prepared by Michael Prescott and published in a national newspaper.
"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation leaning toward one side or the other, I just want it balanced, fair and just," he says.
Upon being questioned if he believes the BBC is systematically partial, the adviser answers: "Absolutely not. Let's be clear, tons of stuff the BBC creates is world class - encompassing informative and entertainment shows."
But he adds: "There remains significant effort that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
The second previous consultant BBC specialist examined by the committee, Caroline Daniel, states she regards the BBC extremely earnestly and that it operates a "continuous process and lively discussion" regarding evolving and intricate issues.
"Was the BBC ready to conduct a thorough discussion and debate and take action?" she questions. "As I see it, affirmative, they were."
